A friend has a pair of Koss pro4aa titanium phones. They sound alright to my ear but, all I have to compare to are my 15 year old Sennheisers.Anyone tried these phones, what do you think?Doesn't radio shack make Koss?

On the average, a closed ear set of phones in the $100 range are usually pretty descent. I've never tried those myself. Im perfectly happy with my Sony MDR's.

Koss headphones

Yup,I have a pair of those and they are very good. They're very similar in feeling to the Sennheisers. They're okay with bleed, but if you're recording very soft music, enough will escape to be a problem. I'm a drummer, so there's no real problem for me.There might be for a vocalist.
Koss let's some of their brand be sold under the Radio Shack name. Sort of like what Sears used to do with manufacturers. So Radio Shack doesn't make Koss, Koss makes some things for Radio Shack.

Yo Grinder:

Personally, on a one to nine scale, I'd rate KOSS cans minus two!

Had a pair of wireless Koss cans and gave them away to a friend. Not really quality cans unless Koss has changed hands.

I use Beyer 250 cans -- very nice and they are closed cans.

I also have another pair of wireless cans I use for general copy work or just listening while doing routine work in the studio with work that has been mastered.

I also have some AKG cans which are good. But Beyer rules the bar in my studio.

Green Hornet :D :p :D
