But something are wrong wiht this soundcards, the Rom Card Legendary Prophet Sounds Card gives allways the messege " This Card is not Formated" if I put it in the ROM slot, so I have Format this, but now is there are no Prophet Sounds on this card more, I Thing there is all deleted by Formating!
So Howe can I get the eraly Prophet Sounds Back in this Card?

I have the Piano Cards there ,too. As Ram and as Rom Cards, but there is nowhere an Piano Sounds in ths cards, and I have an ROM Card names Dancing Wavestation, but there is not Dancing Sounds on, there is only Violine,Strings,Guitare,Obeo;Clavinte and such like this sounds, but nothing about Dancing Sounds, so Im asking you what is here the Problem? Now I want to change all Batteries New of all Cards, but where can I get now the Original Sounds Back in to this ROM Cards and howe can I do it???

Ok Boss, there are two types of cards for the WS - PCM cards that have actual waves on them (and they are used in the "PCM Data" slot on the back of the keyboard) and Program cards that contain parameters which tell the synth what to do with the waves, oscillators, FX settings etc in order to make a patch/performance (these cards should be used in the "Prog Data" slot of the WS). You should only use the correct type of card in each of the slots.

If you have formatted a card the data is gone forever, no way to get it back.

However, most of the PCM wave cards were non-writable I thought. So I don't think you have deleted a PCM wave card with the formatting. A few of the Prog Data cards were able to be written/deleted, most obviously the blank user data cards for storing your own Prog Data, although you can set the card to be write protected.
Can you post a picture of the cards you have?

If you have deleted a program card it should be possible to get hold of the data from somewhere and reload it to the synth by SYSEX and then onto the card.
If you have deleted a PCM card, well, that's really not good, and I doubt it can be re-loaded, although there's one company that might be able to do it (for a price $).

With the piano cards there should be two of them in the set - one is PCM waves and the other one is Prog Data that tells the WS what to do with the piano waves on the PCM card. Using the two of them together will give you a bunch of piano preset performances accessed by selecting the Card bank (not ROM or RAM1 or RAM2). Since you have the EX version it already has piano sounds in it, so maybe you don't need the piano cards really?

The WS has an old style arrangement for the performances and sounds because it was built in 1990 and back then 150 sounds was a lot, and having a Prog Data card that could give you another 50 sounds on the card plugged in at the back was even better! The point is, that if you build a sound that uses some of the waves from the internal ROM (500+ waves available on the EX) and some waves from a PCM card, then you have to always have the PCM card in the machine to use that sound. So you can see that it's possible to get yourself totally confused when creating sounds if you're not careful.

You have a patch which is a sound built with waves, laid out on the keyboard (multisamples) and a few other parameters. The patch then has to be placed into a performance before you can use it properly, and performances can contain up to 8 patches as one sound (like a Combi on more modern Korgs). Now you can see the problem - if you use a patch in several performances, when you edit that patch it changes in all the performances.

Good luck!
