I finally picked up a BR-8 on Friday. It's going back to MARS tommorrow. I could not even get eight tracks down on a cover tune of 2 minutes 45 sec. I was looking at the D-8
before I came across the BR 8. I think I'll go that route. I am really bummed. I thought the BR 8 was going to be it!! The phrase trainer is horrible on it and the center cancel is marginal.

I know that there must be some people on here who use both of these machines. I'm having a very difficult time finding reviews on the net, so I thought I'd see if I could get anyone on this BBS to share their opinions. I've seen that a lot of people seem to be fans of the D8 (Buck62's comments were especially glowing), but I'm interested in hearing from Br-8 supporters as well. I can say that I'm already leaning toward the D8, as the Br-8's 100 megabyte maximum seems less than practical, but any thoughts?

Hey E...
100 megs would probably give you enough space to record 8 seperate tracks for a total of about 2 and a half to 3 minutes.
One song... that's it.
Forget about doing multiple songs and storing them for future re-mixing... it ain't gonna happen.
The Korg has tons of space by comparison... and believe me, you'll need it.

Am I psychic, or what?!

Conclusion.....

BR-8: BAD
D8: GOOD
