Korg D1600 CD Burner

I know that there are a number of burners that can be used, but is there a list somewhere? Beyond that, is there some kind of transfer rate benefit for spending $300 on the korg burner to, say, an HP burner for $150?
I want to get the best bang for the buck, but don't want to waste too much buck, you know?

Well, I found a list, but some of the ones I have heard of people using weren't on the list... interesting. Does it really make that big of a difference?
