Anybody have a Kord d16? I'm having trouble mixing down to my shiny new cdrw thingy. I can mix down to two virtual tracks, but want to mix to a cd. Anybody?

Vibratone:

Actually, you don't mix down to the cdr, you mix down to tracks 1 and 2 (or any virtual track on 1 and 2) and then burn to cdr. Also, make sure your software is the 2.0 version.

So:

1) Bounce to tracks 1 and 2. All final effects etc will be applied here.

2)Crank pan knobs on 1 and 2 to hard left and hard right (i always do this, but may not be necessary for stereo).

3)Go to "Song" page and select "cdr" and follow screen instructions.

Make sure the cdr is connected and turned on BEFORE you turn on the d16. Hope this helps. I have logged many hours on my d16 and am very happy. By the way, the new d1600 is out now. Looks like it uses the same operating software but has good upgrades such as a 20 gig drive (swappable), four xlr preamps with phantom power, sixteen separate faders, and a slot for a built-in cdrw. At $1600 I think you will see more people using this than the d16 which has a small but loyal group of users.

I'm burning now! Thanks -I had to find the version 2.0 instructios. Looks like it will be a nice machine.
I'll kill the thread later.
