Korg 1212 I/O

I've come across the Korg 1212 I/O soundcard with 12 ins and 12 outs configured as a pair of analog I/Os. I have no idea what this means. After looking at a picture of it, I'm guessing that I'll need to purchase a breakout box. Any ideas on where I should look?

well,

if the specs say it's 12i/12o and there are only a pair of i/o on the card, then yes you'll have to buy a breakout box. but normally the breakout box info is real close to the card info. don't know cause haven't checked korg site yet. but most multi i/o cards work that way.

checked it and well,
it's got 8 adat in 2 spdif and only 2 analog.
so for 8 track recording you'll still need an adat.

depends on what you want, but i don't think this is what you think it is.

am i confusing you?
