Just wondering if anyone knows of a basic, inexpensive, small
EQ box for headphones? I need to EQ some phones for recording/monitoring, and all I can find are rack units. (I don't need extra headphone jacks although they probably come standard.)

Thanks for any advice, gang.

It seems to me that to eq headphones would make it pretty hard to accurately hear what you are recording/mixing.

I'm not stating they don't exist somewhere, but i don't think i've ever seen a headphone preamp with EQ.

but you could always patch in an outboard EQ between your mixer and your headphone preamp, couldn't you? (Although why you would need to EQ a headphone signal is a mystery...)

The powerplay 4600 has a hi and low adjustment which works well for the players while recording (if you don't have matched phones etc.) but I have never seen a in line eq for phones. I do not think you will find a post amp eq. It would be strange if you did.

where are you wanting to insert the EQ?
