Another thumbs up for your Solo on this tune, with no tabs you have done great! Your guitar tone is happening, I like it! Your wanking on the end lick is not bad for picking it up by ear! :)
 
Sounds brilliant in my headphones and I'm sure on speakers too. Great playing, singing and mixing.

You've gotta be happy with that

Lol. It triple-posted for some reason, so I just went into 'edit' mode and deleted them.

Being a huge KISS fan, Love it!!! Gene was the reason I wanted to be a bassist. Sweet job :cool:
 
I've always loved this song. You nailed it man. The only thing that's bothering me is the high end. It's a little fatiguing on the ears at louder volumes. Nice job, dude. You rock!

Hey Greg, Not familiar with the original but this really rocks. Execution and recording are both excellent. How come you drummers can play such great guitar and us guitar players suck so bad on drums :rolleyes: Your drum reverb is really nice - you can hear it best at the end when the drums are soloing out. How are you geting that sound - room/reverb ?

Ido - Thanks a lot. I'm not really a "drummer" per se, I just play drums in a band. I've played guitar longer than anything esle. :p

I really don't add much reverb to my drums. They're set up facing the corner of a small room. The O/H's pick up a lot of wall reflection it seems. I put a touch of a "small room" with a quick decay on the snare only. If I'm doing something with a lot of toms, I'll give the toms the same treatment just to make em sound "big". I usually use either Glaceverb or Kjaerhus Classic Reverb. Usually the classic reverb for the drums.

I assumed you were firstly a drummer from the pics you posted a few days ago. You're just too versatile! As they say in the movies - "You Rock, man".... :D
