I was talking to a woman today in a store, she was about 60 and was looking for Chris Botti CD, I showed her where he was and when she saw Boston next to it she said "Oh wow, they still have Boston?" I said yes of course, she said "My husband used to work with the guitar player, Tom, at Polaroid.. :D ..she said he used to have the guys from work come over to get thier opinion on his music and they would give him the thumbs up or down.. anyway she just kind of went off on what a nice guy he was, that he was like 6'5 , and how he would later come over and give her kids t-shirts and stuff. I just though it was interesting to meet someone from that side of the Boston story. . I don't think she had any idea that album went on to become the biggest selling debut album ever until Whitney Houston.

Funny that she didn’t seem to know how popular they still are. I remember working with a girl in the late 80’s that was a big Boston fan. She thought it was really cool that I was too… like we were rare birds or something. She described them as an obscure group based on the fact they only had three albums at the time. She was too young to know that they had set the music world on its ear (no pun intended). :)

I guess living in Boston (well, on the North Shore now actually) that I should start listening to them.
