hey,
the other day i was plugging a pair of headphones into the audio out where my computer speakers are usually plugged in to. the phones didn't work so i plugged the speakers back in, but no sound would come through them and i still am not getting any sound out of my computer. please help, b/c my band is doing some recording this weekend and we can't do it without being able to hear the tracks already on cakewalk. thanks!

Check out the Window mixer and see if it's been disabled.

what is the windows mixer

hey,
what is the windows mixer, and how do i check if its on? thanks

Double-click on the tiny little megaphone that should be in the bottom right corner of the screen. That will bring up the mixer.

Alternately you can go to the start menu and select Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / Volumne
