what mics should be used for kick drums????

Though a newbie myself, I hear the AKG D112 are really good kick mics.

the ATpro25 is a good mic. The ATM25 is also highly regarded around here. I would take either one of those two over a D112 or a shure beta 52 anyday, but that is just my opinion. It would be nice to be able to test out a few different mics with your particular setup to see which one gives you the best sound with the least work, but that is unlikely

oh yeah, try a search(upper right corner) for "kick drum mics" and you should find mucho information.
