keyboard wont sync with pro tools

whats up guys, I'm new to the site but was wondering if someone could help me out? I have a fantom x8 that I'm trying to sync up with pro tools8 so I can mix down the beats I made on my board. I've already got my keyboard in midi slave mode and pro tools recognizes it as a midi device, but when i arm my board and hit f12 (record) the timing is off, and it always messes up on the first beat (downbeat) any suggestions?

I saw a video of a guy on youtube instructing on how to sync a phantom with pro tools. Unfortunately I can't remember the title, but if you search it, I'm sure it'll pop up!

are you recording to an external firewire hard drive?

Hey try lowering ur play back engine buffer size to 128.
