keyboard to pc using delta 44

have roland rd 700 and pc. bought delta 44 package (sound card, breakout box ?, and software of delta logic and gigaworkstation.
Loaded drivers, and software opens fine.
guy at store said no brainer to hook up. simply ran from speakers output in keyboard to break out box with 1/4" to sound card. no midi cords needed? I hooked nothing to any of the 4 out jacks in box. when I open up any software I get nothing? any suggestions on where to start?

First of all.. welcome to the board.
I don't understand what's your exactly problem ? (eg. " I get nothing") what's your goal ? Do you want use MIDI with your keyboard ? etc. Can you explain more specific about those ? and your setup info.

The Delta 44 has no MIDI interface. You'll need to have one if you want to use the keyboard as a MIDI instrument.
