hello everyone,

just wondering if anyone can help me out, i'm really frustrated!
i have a keyboard that only has midi out and a headphone jack.
so since my soundcard doesn't have midi in, i'm running a cable from the headphone jack on my keyboard to my mixer (it's a dj mixer, numark 3 channels) and then i'm sending the mixer to my input line on my soundcard.
when i play live on the keyboard, the music sounds just fine on my computer speakers...
but when i try to record to the computer and then play it back, the music is definitely distorted...especially in the lower sounding instruments from the keyboard...
any help would be much appreciated!

Dig deep and shell out $100 for a new PCI card. You'll not only be able to enjoy the wonders of midi but your audio recordings will be cleaner and brighter too. Here are two that are recommended - one and two.
