say i got a motif or any keyboard with great sound on it right? i know i can control my software sounds via midi but how do i get my keyboard sounds in the software program to use them with the song i'm creating? what do i need to do or do i need to buy in order to do this?

You can sequence the MIDI of the keyboard and slave it to the software.

If you're using a newer Korg or Yamaha keyboard, this should be integrated through VST - as in the MO' line and the X50.

perhaps i'm misreading you... what do you have for an interface??? you need to get the output of the synth into the computer through that...

i have a tascam fw-1082 and am about to purchase the roland gw7 board and the yamaha mm6 board, just wanna know how to use the sounds of the boards before i buy them and figure out i can't

what software are you wanting to go through with? All I can think of is sending it to your computer via mLAN and having each track played on the motif go to each separate channel. You have the firewire connect in your motif?

not a problem... ive got a 1884 here... you'll need to configure the interface from within your app.. and also the tascam controll panel... then just plug them in the 1082... and your pretty much set...

maybe i was elaborating too much into it wut i need to know is what cable do i use to plug it into the 1082? do i do a line out into the line in on it? wouldn't that be mono if i did that or do they sell l/r outs to a line in?

yep just line outs to line ins... check your manual though on the 1884 (and i assume 1082) 2 of the inputs are optimized for direct recording guitars/basses..
