Is the Crate KX-15 keyboard amp any good?

For recording I'll do line out direct to mixer; for live performance hook into PA. So I'm just looking for a practice amp for home use to use instead of built in speakers so I can insert an effects unit

The Crate is the cheapest KB amp I've found. I tried a guitar amp (a Mesa Boogie) and it changed the sound too much esp. in terms of frequency extension

I have a Fender KXR 200 more expensive but I use it at some smaller gigs too. And I like to use it as a reference amp. That's just me. I'm sure you'll get more answers from some of the others.
