To everyone,

I was just offering some information to people that may not have known it. It was not ment to be intended as anything else.

I do not understand why all of you can not just let some one inform facts about stuff to educate people. Some or all of you may know everything I wrote on here, but I have gotten quite a few PM's saying thanks for the information and they learned something they either did not know or was not sure about. This is a forum and it is here to educate people. That is what I was doing trying to help educate beginners that did not know alot about this field.

I am closing this thread as it seems that not one person on here has posted any basic mic information to help educate newbies to the recording field.

That was my intentions was to start a thread that will help people.

Your intentions are appreciated. But I think a little observation of the way things play out here would demonstrate that your best bet is to keep most of your original post handy in a Word document so you can post the same answers to the same questions that get asked every day.

That's bad karma, man.

Seems like he actually made apl angry. I haven't seen that happen before.

It's annoying when someone closes a thread just because it gets a little heated. Karma101 might fit in really well here if he'd diversy out of mics. I noticed he also posted some of his personal equipment for sale, which is fine, but it's Karma equipment, which, again looks suspicious.

And for crying out loud, Harvey Gerst got banned for spamming once!

It's one of the few rules around here that actually matters.

And Karma, I'm very cool with your participation in this board, but you're kinda steppin' in it. Hang back, develop relationships, and you'll find you're very much respected and people will listen.

Ahhhhh, some wisdom there.

Everybody steps in it at times. It's how one handles it after the fact that shows the most.

'xcept me, of course... I've never stepped in it.

So Karma closed the thread?

You can do that? Every day, something new.

I'm not in marketing, but even I know you need a hide as thick as a rhinos so that when someone spits in your face and slams the door you can wipe it off, go next door, and smile your last smile of the day just as broadly as you did your first.

Don't give up! KARMA! KARMA! KARMA!

Under "Thread Tools". If you created the thread you can lock it at any time.
