I have a pair of Genelec 1029a monitors that I use in my project studio. By day, I use my DAW mostly to mix sound on video projects that I work on. At night, I record my own pop-rock concoctions using real guitars and basses, but everything else is virtual. This all happens in a spare room in my apartment - so its not like I ever blast them anyway. Everything is listened to at a healthy level of decibels.
Here is my question: These monitors are good - but I keep thinking that I am missing out something since they are so small compared to other monitors that buddies use for monitoring their music recordings. Now - I know they aren't going to sound as 'full' as a bigger monitor - but do you guys think that I might be missing out on my mixes because these monitors are tiny?
Any advice is appreciated.
