Keep mixer

I searched for this but couldnt find much, and its not in the manual.
for the 2488, when you create a new song, on the title screen and all that, theres an option for keep mixer: on/off. whats this do?
I'm very new to this machine. thanks

You sure you have a 2488??? I've never seen this, and I've "Created" about 100 songs on it.
 
Think it's a MKII / NEO only feature though curiously I cound't find any mention of it in either manual other than in a screenshot on page 24. I haven't actually tried it but I'd imagine that if you select YEs it will open the new song with the current scene settings rather than the default routing

Just a guess, saves mixer positions for the mix.
What do I win Johnny?
 
I must be blind - check out page 44 of the manual!
