hello im havnig a problem. here i am in the studio trackin with my fav walmart kazoo and it just plain lacks fatness and high end sparkle. I've tried a lot of diffrent micing techniques and its just not cuttin it. The eqing is ok just lacks that nice low end and i cant seem to get the highs bright enough maybe im lacking a spacious reverb? i dont know if any of you have any good ideas on tracking with kazoos let me know also im smacking a trash can around with a base ball bat any ideas on how to eq that? just sounds to muddy and lacks punch even though im bangin the crap out of it! thanks for your help

I always use a Neumann U47 on kazzoo. It's like the industry standard. You didn't know that?

dosent suprise me chess ive heard the u47 is also the standard on grandpas farts however grandmas farts requiers the u87 for the tightrer squeeze and brighter top end just ask weird ale!

Who or what is wierd ale? Is he any relation to odd lager?

You might try squashing that kazoo with an original LA2.

weird ale yankavic hes a funny man that makes fun of other peoples songs like michael jacksons im bad well his version is im fat lol

Somebody missed the joke. It's "Weird Al", not "Weird Ale". Although I have drunk some very weird ales in my time.

And please, please learn to use punctuation!!!

Wow. For a minute there, I thought this was another "how good is kazaa" thread. Then I read it more better and am glad to see it's a serious question...

When you're having a problem recording your kazoo...

...a Radio Shack mic is the only one that will do! :D
