Soooooooo I got bored yesterday and heard this song .....I generally don't listen to top 40 but this one came on during hockey night in canada .....I dug it . I also took a listen and thought this song would sound much better with a little aggressive edge so I went to work and this is what came out of it . I also figured her vocals could use a crunchy guys voice so I put myself up to the task of that as well !!

Check it out here

Oh and I used the original track , I didn't have any stems for it . How I got everything to sit well was run a side chain comp to the full track with my additional tracks driving it to allow them to push the original down a tiny bit . I also used a psychQ on my creamware system to really bring the shine out .

This definitely wasn't easy but none the less it was a good learning experience

Cheers

Hey thanks allot !! I just did a video for it as well kind of showcasing all the aspects I added to it . I'll post it up here after render / upload :)

Once again , thanks for the post !

Thanks duder !!! I'm gonna be working on something new here pretty soon ;)

OY I really look for critique with this , I may be semi-pro but still I like to get some attention from it and to see what people think I should do better !!!! Bump bump mofos

So, are you saying you only sang over the track, like Karoake? I'm not sure how much you actually did on this. I don't understand.

It helps if you've heard the original. He did a lot more than vocals. I have a 13 year old daughter :-)

I can't say i've heard the original but this sounds great. I like the accompanying video. Since it's hard for me to know what was done here, i'll just say that this sounds real slick and radio ready. I hope you get some attention from it!
