Just Stereo Recording

I am looking for some advice on a decent tool for simple stereo recording. A lot of times, I lug my mac to the rehearsal studio and tap off the PA to get a rough recording of rehearsals. I'd love to just grab my windows Laptop and record a stereo...hell even mono...from the PA.

Any software recommendations?
 
This is perfect. I just downloaded it and tried it out. It's exactly what I need.
 
Audacity is a good choice because it has both Mac and PC programs.

You should also check out Reaper (www.reaper.fm); it is a full-featured sequencer that is also Mac and PC..... (and you can test it out for free)
