Very very nice. . . That's a sweet studio you've got there. . .
Way to go on the hardwood floor, too.

prrrrrrrrretty nice!

NICE!!!

Thumbs up to that. Boy that must have been a lot of work!

It looks really great. Hope you are at a point where you can enjoy it now. I bet that recording room has a nice live but controlled character to it. Everything looks so comfy. Is the MS-16 gone then? And do I recall correctly that you have the parts to run the MX-70 as a 2" or is it either 1" 16-track or 1" 8-track?

The update is an encouragement to those of us that seem to continuously wallow in the process of "getting there"...like...me. :D

That is real nice. What kind of Tama's do you have? I like the Big Boy above the mixer.

Cory, I sold my 1 inch 8 track mx70 to pay for the remodel and work on my 16 track mx70. Sold it to a studio here in Cleveland with the agreement that I could use it if they weren't. The ms16 is at my friend's rehearsal space. It took up a lot of room. Do you have an ms16 still or is that ethan? I've got a couple more parts laying around..

Dodge, The whole job took about 8 weeks in my "spare" time. I'm getting the tax rebate for all the new windows! I love my big boy. The bobble head pope net to it is cool too.

Here's a couple more pics:

Nice!

Machine room

How did you build out the ceiling? what did that cost?

Since it was a third floor I just ripped out the flat ceiling and followed the roof joists up to a peak. Not a lot of cost since I did it myself. Probably $70 in materials.

AWESOME!

love that tape recorder and the atmosphere of the studio is very comfortable, judging by the photos.

I was digin it all till we got to that Elvis pic.:D

And why cant someone in my area sell me a mx70 8 track?:(

Very nice indeed man. I really like what you've done and the wood floors makes me jealous.

Thumbzup man. ;)

Hey Ethan. I've got the case that holds the rec/play cards. Cards are gone. Heavy as shit (a lot of shit). If you want it you can pay shipping.

I did the same thing in my old attic too. Yours looks nicer though. :p But similar set up.
Looks great.
