Is there anyone out there who can talk me through (I mean plain and simple, please) what equipment I need for my home studio setup?
I use n-track software. I have been recording my songs, but would like to be able to record four voices at once and get a good sound.
Here's what I own now:
1 old 4 channel TOA powered mixer (I've been using this to input my old microphone and keyboard).
2 brand new MXL V67 microphones. These require phantom power which the old mixer doesn't have.
What piece of equipment will allow me to record using 4 mikes including my new ones? I know I need to replace the TOA unit.

Thanks! Stephanie

Well you could get a small mixer like the Yamaha 12/4 and a delta 44 pci sound card. That will give you 4 inputs. For a bit more dosh the Firepod gets you 8 inputs with firewire
