I just purchased the hure beta 57a and the art tube opl preamp...
when I was using my radio shack microphone and had the track monitor set to "on" in Garageband... I could hear the microphone.. no problem....
my shure mic came and I uplugged the the radio shack and plugged in the shure mic expecting to make a great recording and.... nothing....
I don't get a signal or anything....
here's how I have it set up....
I have the shure plugged into the Art Tube preamp using an xlr to 1/4 cable that goes into the input side of my art tube opl and a 1/4 to headphone jack that's goes into the line input of my emac
can someone please tell me what's wrong...
now the Shure is a dynamic mic so I know it doesn't need phantom power but I have phatom power on the ART as wll so I don't really understand what the problem is....
