Just need some advice

Hello,

My band is trying to get a small setup for recording some tracking, we dont need anything major, but want it to be fairly decent without killing my wallet.

I just need a starting point on what is best to use at an affordable price and must be compatible with Windows Vista.

Recording your band, you'll need 8 tracks. Check out the Presonus firepod. These are down to $400 now and musiciansfriend are tossing in a free headphone amp. Also comes with a stripped down Cubase & a bunch of plugins. Great deal
