Prepare the ship for warp speed, Mr. Sulu. :D

Ya I know I will have a big learning curve going to sonar 6, I will end up doing a song by my self before bringing the band in. I'm going to get a couple flat screens since the new comp has dual head. I'm just looking at the tools in sonar like the V-vocal and sound snap. Watching some videos on line and am very excited. When vista comes out I will be going 64 bit. I think I will wait until then rather deal with xp64 and the bugs.

I will have to get a different interface because echo does not have 64 bit drivers. I have to research that. I was thinking I could still use the layla with 32 bit drivers but, I have seen conflicting things.

Too me if you can still use 32 bit programs on a 64 bit operating system then why not drivers for a sound card?

Sounds like a great DAW. I have Sonar 6PE and though I haven't worked with AudioSnap I have used V-Vocal and got great results. I found that just to correct pitches manually and draw waveforms as needed was perfect. One tip I can give is never draw, or allow the program to draw, a vertical line when making a pitch correction.

Damn it! Now I've got to get 6! Thanks! Thanks alot!

Don't get overly excited about Audiosnap just yet.

When you have a track with extremely well-defined transients (kick, snare bass, etc.) it can define these transients pretty well. However, on tracks such as acoustic guitar being strummed it has trouble defining transients in a useful manner.

I think Audiosnap is still a couple of versions of being the useful tool it can be.

My 2¢...

Buzz kill.... :)

I've tinkered with audio snap and I'd agree that a version or two ahead will really help to bring it where it needs to be. I think that out of the gate though, it's pretty decently thought out new feature.

I'm not getting notification from here for some reason.

Well if you saw my other post you'll know I'm not to excited about audio snap ;)

I am on the other hand very excited about v-vocal. That works awsome. I love the fact you don't have to effect the whole track and can just grab a word and move it to where it sounds right, not right on a particular note.

Looks like it could work well to fix a guitar bend that didn't quite reach far enough or over shot a little.

I have pretty well given up on audio snap at this point. It's best redeaming quality seems to be the ability to have the transient markes project down from the time ruler through all the tracks. That could come in handy for moving edits around.

Still getting the hang of it but it's a far shot better than PA9.
