I`m no exepert, but it sounded quite good, the guitar seem to have some ground\hum issues, not to big but I thought I heard some.
The bass need some compression, just try a little and see if gets tighter, I would also push the bass up a bit somewere above 100 :)

these are just suggestions, not answers :)

hope they help a bit :)

Sounds good to me...I would maybe cut a bit of something like 4k on the guitar, and compress the bass, like Naka said.

Well I would place it in the rack, plug it on the wall and th-...oh you mean, how would I set it up as far as recording is concerned??? mmmmthat's a tough one. :):):)

On my set up, my bass is almost always at 4:1 at -20db threshold with a little bit of attack to allow some snap to come through...but that doesn't mean it will work for you.

thanks for the link.

-- here's another question:

I understand how every knob works on the compressor except for the knee. What excatly does the knee do?

A "hard knee" kicks in immediately, and you can oftentimes hear it working, unless your signal is peaking very close to the specified cut-off dB. A soft knee is more natural-sounding, less noticable overall.
