Allo, any one have experience with these? i assume its pretty straightforeward especially after i'm done reading the manual. Now my real question is, what software do you guys use? I use goldwave and am going to play round with guitar rig, are there any other programs i might try for guitar recording?
thanks

Maybe give a try to Amplitube.

I've heard of a Marshall amp/cabinet emulator out there somewhere although I can't remember what its called. I think its even a freebie...maybe check out KLRAudio and see if you can hone in on that or any other guitar-friendly plugins.

i think i'll give amplitube a try. There's a bit of lag with guitar rig, maybe playing with settings will speed it up.
guitar modeling seems like big business. exspensive business.

The lag will probably not be fixed by switching programs since the ART unit is USB. Firewire runs much quicker. USB 2.0 is better than the old 1.0 standard, but still not so hot. If settings are going to fix it, it would be your latency settings. Try shrinking the sample buffer size.

LOVE this plugin. I've got Amplitube and a number of hi-gain models (Dirthead, Wagner Sharp) and I always come back to this plug. Very low CPU use.

I am guessing since you are using Gold Wave that you are on a PC, so check into www.kvraudio.com and do a search in the database for a free plugin called oddly enough "free amp" it's an amazing amp plugin that a guy put together for free! He also has some plugins that you can use to make Moog sounds and other synth stuff with a guitar! Fretted Synth is the name of the company that put em together...

Oops, I had said KLR Audio but I meant KVR Audio like Gear Junkie suggested above.

Russtopher, I think that's the one that I was trying to remember. I've heard great things about that Marshall plugin. Plus its free!

I have never heard of Marshall making a free plugin, but I believe it was IK that made a Amplitube Solo that was freeware, with minimal amounts of features, and it was stand alone....
