just got myself a fostex r8!

so I just got one, and I was wondering if there is any general advice I could have, and a few questions answered.

so 457 tape will work good on it, right?

what patch plug size is it? 1/4 jack?

Anything I should watch out for?

The A8 manual recommends 'Ampex 357', but I think that's what they meant. Unless they've changed it since the A8, the connections will be RCA/phono. Fostex makes a cable snake to go 8-way photo to 1/4" jack.. SCV in London were selling these cheaply, so I got one for my Tascam.

The fostex R8 is set up for 457 tape. It has RCA jacks on the top of the machine. Its a great little unit you will really enjoy!
