Just got my Peluso 2247

So far so good. Will need more testing for sure. I don't have the room set up at all right now and the only preamp I have to test through is an audio buddy right now. I'll definately be interested to hear it through better pre's and with some 703 up. Definately sounds a lot more "bigger than life" than my AKG C2000b. I guess it should though eh?
 
sweet! how much did it run you...was it worth it? what are you recording with it?
 
I got it 950 used which included shipping. I'm mostly recording vocals and acoustic guitar with it. I think it sounds pretty great from what I've gotten to do with it so far... but I'll let you guys know in a few days when I really get a chance to record with it in a better treated room. So far I've only been able to huddle near my computer in a little alcove to try it out until this weekend.
 
screw the 703!! just use the mic already!!

I use the 22 47 also, have been for about 8 months now, very happy with the sound quality. I use it with the Avalon AD2022 preamp in my home studio. The price on the peluso mics have gone up a couple hundred, I used to see the 22 47 go for 750 to 800 used, but still you got a nice mic for a good price. I am sure you will learn to appreciate the quality throught time, as I have. Keep us posted! most all my recordings were using the Peluso 22 47, except for the "If" song, so check them out.
