Roland Jazz Chorus JC-77. Paid $150 off someone I know. 40 X 2 = 80 watts with 2 X 10 speakers. I was able to DL the manual off Roland site

Plugged in my Les Paul, with the Distortion clicked Off and Chorus Off. Strummed a few chords, increased the volume and was getting some nice tube-like breakup sound. Wow. Back off on the guitar's volume and she cleaned right up.
This is a pretty loud amp. It seems louder than the old 50 watt Marshall I had (transister 112, don't remember model, bought in 1982)

Some of the pots need to be cleaned, but it didn't affect dialing in some settings to fiddle around.
The Reverb doesn't seem to work, and I don't know if it's Off due to no footswitch. It takes 3 (Distortion, Reverb, Chorus) Anybody know ?
Then, I tried the Distortion, which is not killer, but sounded like AC/DC, Bad Co "Marshall-y" crunch
Read some comments when I Googled, and put a MT-2 in front of it, it can be a Metal amp

I have yet to try it with my Zoom G7 Guitar Processor or with other guitars.
So, All I need to do is clean the pots, and clean a few markings (looks like pink nail polish) on the vinyl top of the amp

He also threw in a Peavey 118D bass cabinet, for nothing. I'll probably put it on Craigslist, as the JC-77 doesn't have an external speaker output, just L+R Line Out.
But I don't know how I'm gonna test it first or demo to a buyer ?

Learn everything you can about the cabinet, especially the impedance and the power handling. Then offer to allow people to demo it with their own heads. Just make sure you run the show so that they heads don't overpower the cab.

Good score on the JC!
