I got the Rode Nt1a and Focusrite Saffire. Was just wondering if anyone thought I could put out decent quality hip hop tracks with this setup to start with? I'll get monitors later right now I just have the Saffire wired to my stereo lol.

Yes, you can. If you're capable of "creating" and "performing" decent quality hip hop tracks, then the gear you use shouldn't get in the way...

All depends on ur skills as a producer and a audio engineer. Some people can make wonders with 100$ of equipment, others cant do nething with $1000 of equipment.

I'd recommend reading some articles on the net about mixing and stuff like that
