i don't know if anyone's already posted this, but i know the last 45 minutes of reading have just enlightened me on some of the basics of synthesizers... its all about a specific analogue system, but the information seems to be very generic for synthesizers generally. i've spent a fair bit of time mucking around on some freeware softsynths i've downloaded, but with very little idea of what everything actually did. while reading that /\ i found myself going "oh... so That's what ADSR means..." a fair bit.
but yeah. seems to be a good beginners guide to synthesis. straightforward and broken up really well.
