i'm playing all the guitar parts, the bass is actually programmed by the keys player..

i'm thinking of laying down a real bass part, but jeez, it's a tough bass part, i'd have to woodshed a few days to get it right...
and he did such a good job of programming it.....
whadayathink? does it really need a miced up ricky-sounding gnarly bass line in there?!!

Yep, everything sounding good here too. Don't know what you mean by scratch vox though. Sounds like damn good vocals to me.

good work on this gonzo-x. your guitar playing rocks on this. everything's good but the guitar stood out to me.

the 'scratch vox' was just meant as a go by, i didn't think it would turn out good enough to use a 'keeper'

but, i think with just a few punchins on certain back up sections, i can live with it.
ian gillan, was a freakin' genius.
the more i listen, the more i appreciate what he did.

getting ready to re-track new rhythms and some backup vox, and then i'll sit down and actually learn the original mix (pans and levels) and try to re-create the vibe of the original mix as well..
it's a fun excercise, i'm learning a lot.

Sounds great! I actualy listened to the whole thing, twice. Ive always liked that song and you did it justice pretty much all the way around, not an easy song to do. I especialy like the organ sound and am very impressed with the NI B4 software and Im thinking about getting it. Is that tone a preset or did you have to program it yourself? New version or old? EXCELLENT job! I wouldnt mind hearing more of your stuff.

the keyboard player (goes by the name 'xenophile') did all the key programming, i can get you in touch with him if you like, just PM me..
you can ask him direct questions about the NI software, i just don't know a thing about it.
