Just Finished Remastering

With some suggestions I received from a few of you I remastered some songs I finished recording in the fall/winter and they are improved in ways I would never have imagined.

The MP3s are pretty tight on the quality side, but I need to trade download speed for quality as my server bandwidth is very low.

I listened to 'I have thoughts in my mind'....strange tune pretty cool but I thought the voices were too loud over the music. I liked the stereo spread of the voices, but IMOP they should be waaay lower than they are now. It's like I had to listen at a volume lower than normal. It's a pretty interesting and cool tune, pretty bugggy, but I think you should lower the talking voices..

Bring down those voices.....make them blend better..they are too loud as they are..

I also listened to 'Lews Nut' and that was pretty cool.. I didnt like the drums, but the slide was rrrrrreal nice, but the voices were too loud again...lower those voices in both of these tunes IMOP..

One more thing dude, it took a while to download (relatively speaking), (cable). Some people might get turned off of that so maybe try Nowhere radio if you find your not getting enough response, that may be one of the reasons..

Thanks Sam. I might quick-link elsewhere for faster downloads in the future, right now they're off my cable connection capped at 40kbps up... I'll see if that service will allow me to do that...

When I remixed/mastered the songs last night I was most concerned with getting the vocals clear, I only paid nominal attention to their level... also focused on getting the music to punch through a little more than it used to (which I succeeded in doing, but you hadn't heard the original... it was horrible). I may go back once more

(the first was supposed to sound like an infomercial , I know I have the tendency to forget that not all songs are about the music )

"I have thoughts in my mind", I felt like I listening to the commercials in between songs on radio. I kept on waiting for the song to kik in, but I guess that was the song....

"Lou's Sickness", I like the melody better in this one. Like above mentioned, vocals are too loud

Overall, I dig the dynamics you build, however, I find them both a bit repeatitive. Interesting tunes nontheless. Wish I could here them in higher quality.

"Thats some very interesting "music" Marty!" Oh wait thats from back to the future...It was a good listen-reminds me of negativeland or something...My mixing critique would be that screaming voice is a little loud-you don't want to scare the kids. Did you have to get permission for the Burroughs stuff? Cool guitar solo-whats the sound underneath the solo?, I really like that. Good fun.

Damn you Sam!! I went back again and tried a few subtle changes... it's a bit clearer, but I can't lower the vocals more because then the music overpowers them
