Just bought - M-audio studio pro4 monitors

Anybody have nay experience with these. Just picked some up off ebay for $120.00. They sell for 150.00 brand new? Any thoughts?
 
Well I...THINK....that you bought what your budget could afford. I never used them and I doubt that many here have. Most have the BX5's. However when you do get them please post your own review. We'd like to know too.

Yes, you would be right in saying that. I was using an old power amp and speakers, but the power amp has gone wonky, and it's like 40-60 buck for another one anyway, so I figured I would just get some powered monitors, but have to stick to a fairly conservative budget.

I was considering:

-the Roland Ma8's
-Roland Edirol series
-Behringer ms16

(these are all more mulitmedia speakers than studio monitors I'd say)

That said, it was only about 30.00 bucks more for the m-audio's, and they have good marks on musicians friend and zzounds, so I figured I'd take a chance. They would have to be better than what I was using at any rate.
 
yeah upgrades are relevant, i can relate.

...sounds like a good move.
now add a little sub sometime soon and crossover at 80hz or so...and you'll be rocking.

keep an eye on the For Sale page... ;)
