I don't really get a lot of time to play around with music lately but I still like to play around every now and again.

I got kinda bored and just threw this together in my apartment with a few pieces of gear I picked up.

You can critique the mix and stuff all you want, it can't hurt but I just did this just to do it. kinda for me but I figured I might as well put it up here anyways ;)

WAV Files kinda big cause the MP3 rendering sounded ... off. Idk if I'm just crazy or what but the wav sounded better.

Yes a wav will sound better generally, since it is uncompressed. But with some practice, you can get awesome sounding mixes posted in mp3 as long as you mix good :-) and render it out at least at 160k+.

Now as far as the tune. Nice guitar work! Overall mix is ok, but I have to draw the line at the overuse of the hi-hat 32nd note trills. Once or twice in the whole tune might be tasty, but it is way overused. It started to annoy me.

Try a little less compression on the drums. They could also go back in the mix a little bit.

Let's see what else you can add. I can hear strings, e-guitar, vox, ?

I plan on doing all three of those things and maybe even an organ if I can motivate myself to actually find the time to work on it :D
as far as the drums go, I just sent the drums to a buss and compressed the shit out of em... maybe I'll bring the buss down a little
