Just an Ebay "Bargain Guitar" headsup!...

I have one sitting 5 feet away from me. I just played it for an hour or two. The guitar is really nice. For 100 dollars it cannot be beat. I won the black single cutaway. The neck is excellent feeling. The guitar sounds pretty good to me. The pickups on first impression weren't that great but with tweaking and fiddling with effects I am liking them a bit more. Set neck no bolt on. The grover tuners really do work! I was a little skeptical but this was the best 100 dollars anyone could spend on a guitar. The hardcase itself has to be worth a decent penny. Mine came with a 1/4" cable too which I was pleasantly surprised with.

This might be your only chance, so if you hesitate ... something like this might not pop up again.
 
...took the Honey Flametop into the studio last night...I didn't let anyone know the price I paid for the Arroyo, and the guitar got major props from some of the other players (especially the bass player who was begging for the "hookup")...most were convinced it was a custom made instrument...recorded a few tracks and the tone was real sweet...I still can't believe what these things are going for...glad I stepped up and let my "GAS" takeover (bidding on that first one)...these Arroyos are keepers, no doubt...

...oh yeah, before I left the studio I did give the bass player the heads-up on the last few going up on eBay tomorrow...he could not believe what I paid...totally blown away!...:D

DARN IT !!!!!​

I knew that was going to happen. I was watching the auction, and knew it was going to end at 3:00PM today, but I got a call and had to run out to my Church to help out the kids youth band and their practice. :o

Anyway,,I got there and saw it was 3:10. :( I thought I'd make it there in time to still bid.

I wanted one of these guitars too. :o

Do any of you guys who bought one of these guitars happen to have the contact info on the seller?? I saw that not all of them sold on the auction, and maybe I can contact them and still buy one.

Can someone help me out?? :o

none compare to that sunburst! wow....that thing is gorgeous!
 
...yeah I'd have to agree...the seller called it "Orange Flametop" but it's very much similar to Gibson's "Honey Burst"...I like that one so much that I have it perched stratigically in my home studio...every time I see it I gotta smile...

...on another note though, I must say the matte finishes have their strongpoints...more durable finish (much less prone to fingerprints, grease marks and surface scratches)...a more hardcore "rock n' roll" vibe...great platform for modding too...a nice pair of GFS humbucker sized "Mean 90's" or "Crunchy PAF" pickups would really bring out the b*llz in one of these...highly recommended...;)

Guess I better learn to play guitar huh? I am a Keyboard player. lol

But these sounded like decent "Git Er By" guitars, so I got a couple for the kids at the Church Youth Band to play around with. (I am sure I'll play with them as well..lol) ;)

Anyway, excited to have them arrive.

...once you see how beautiful the sunburst flametop Arroyos are, you may want to think twice about giving it to the kids...the flametop Arroyos are easily equivalent to a $600 Epiphone...give the kids the matte black one and keep that flametop for yourself (hang it on the wall if you have to)...gorgeous guitar, fa real! :D
 
Received both the black one and the sunburst..AWESOME GUITARS!!! :D ;)

If any of you who bought one off ebay and dont like it, PM me and I will buy it from you. I have a waiting list for people from my Church Youth Band who would love to have one. ;)

Thanks for the heads up. I bought one that looks just like yours.. I ended up fighting for it a bit. It was the last guitar listed. I got it for 178 shipper should have it any day now.

Well, a person who bought one on here for a Christmas present, then changed their mind and got the kid something else put his black on up on Ebay. Brand new never played.

Anyway, I bid on it and just won it for $100.00 :D This one is going to go to the kid in Church who had been having a pretty rough time lately. Maybe now he can pull this sweet guitar out and get his mind of his troubles when he gets in the dumps. lol ;)

By the way,,word has it that there is a new Arroyo proto type guitar in the works, and these may be available in 2008. I hope so and I cant wait. ;) :D

Nothing but rave reviews on these guitars,,,,,but maybe we need to stop talking about them and pumping them up so much,,,so we have a chance on getting more of them the next round. lol

she is a great singer, pianist and cellist and is very tolerant of my gear hording :D
