I just added a Digimax D8 to my current setup, which is a MOTU Traveler (original version), but now I'm trying to figure out what the deal is with all this sync stuff. It was pretty easy to set it up, but what I noticed is that, when using the D8 as the master, the "Lock" light on the Traveler doesn't light up (though, now that I play with it, it doesn't light up for internal, either). I read that syncing over just the ADAT optical cable isn't as good as syncing with word clock, which would mean I'd have to go grab a BNC cable and use the Traveler as the master. Does it really matter?
