just a general question about opinions and preferences on directX

I hear alot about AA being closely similar or identical to cep 2.1. So if this is the case, this question might apply to AA users as well. But for anyone that is familiar and/or using CEP 2.1, what are you using now, of have used in the past for your track compressor(s)? Regardless if you apply it to the waveform itself, or you apply it to the track fx in the multitrack view. And how is it possible to try a couple of them out?

Well, i guess this makes this 2. What about eq adjustments for vocals? Which eq in your own opinion works fine to serve that purpose?

I use Cool 2.1, but I don't like its compressor. Instead, I use a Sonitus Ultrafunk plugin, which I like much better. The company doesn't exist anymore, but I think I heard recently that you can still buy the plugin from the people who bought them out. Was it Soundforge? Duh... I dunno.
