L lumbago New member Jan 9, 2006 #2 You can hear the drummer dribbling from both sides of his mouth at once. So at least the drum riser is level <g> Seriously, tape some kitchen sponge to the snare - will reduce the persistence of the shell resonance. Otherwise, good enough. Some compression and it will be SLAMMING. Perhaps you could mic it closer and increase the treble response around 4-8kHz? The snare sounds about 4 feet away. Could be closer and crisper.

K Kasey New member Jan 13, 2006 #6 maybe im the only one, but i personally cant stand bass drums that sound like that. Some punch is good, but its called a bass drum for a reason.
