Woohoo..... Johnny Winter tonight at the Capital Center For The Arts In Concord N.H. And I will have the best seat in the house!.!

Best seat in the house?? So, that either puts you on Rhythm Guitar or at the FOH board. Very cool.

Firebirds Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Johnny only pulled out the Firebird for the last song *Highway 61* - Mega slide guitar.
The rest of the night he played a *Laser*guitar into a ce chorus pedal into a Musicman 4/12HD amp miced by a Sennhieser 421.

Did he use the house PA or bring his own?

He played great yet like B.B. King he was performing sitting down, he can barley walk let alone stand for to long.

Johnny's been one of my guitar heroes since I first heard the opening notes of Black Cat Bone (Progressive Blues Experiment) around 1970 (yeah, I'm telling on my age here). Sad to hear he's having to sit down but glad as hell he's still around playing!!!

Yes his playing was spot on all night. He was actually wheel chaired from his RV to the stage right wings from there he was helped by his personal aid to down stage center where his chair and guitar (Laser) was awaiting him.

I have one of the Crossroad Concert DVD's with Johnnie playing the Firebird-also played sitting in a chair for that concert too. As soon as his songs were over a roadie\attendant? took the guitar and helped him off stage.

A Firebird is one big chunk of mahogany all right-here is a comparison of my Epi Firebird to my Epi Les Paul, SG and Sheraton-the SG and Les Paul look quite small....
