Haven't posted here in a while.
Hope everyone is well.

Just thought I'd share a live recording of John Mayers' "Who Says".

Also had some trouble trying to get quality to sound good on youtube.

Really enjoy this song, would be great if I could get some feedback on the overall performance as well as the audio set up.

It was pretty good. You spent a lot of time making the vocal mic sound excellent and then you slacked off on the guitar. I thought the guit was too percusiony (if thats a word). I felt like you were playing hand drums on a wooden box and your buddy outside was playing guitar through the window. Decent performance, I liked your accent so much, and then you started to sing and I thought wow, what a difference in a speaking voice and a singing voice. You have absolutly no accent whatsoever when you sing, the only thing that gives it away is that you say Sydney instead of Baton Rouge. My suggestion to you would be to sing more naturally, as who you are and where you come from as apposed to how you think John Mayer sounds. It sounds like you would have a terrific voice if you sang a little deeper, like if you were standing up and your diaphram was extended. Go ahead and just plug the guitar in, if thats an option and if you want to mic it also, pan them for a great sound. You've got the stuff, just start to tweak it. Great job, thanks for posting, next time I want to see an original.
