Jittering Problem in Samplitude

I have an Aardvark Q10, and I'm having problems with what I think is jittering. When I open up Samplitude the jittering starts. Even when nothing is connected to the Q10 I hear these frequency noises of varying pitches. It only occurs in samplitude. It doesn't happen at all in Cubase SX, but I experience a lot of latency with Cubase, and I prefer to use samplitude in general. Can anyone help me out?
 
Does anyone have any knowledge on this issue? Other Aardvark users have this problem?
 
I'd say try the samplitude site for cross incompatibility issues. Or just stop using samplitude. Chances are this issue is fairly unique. I had an old AMD k6II computer that hated cubase for some unknown reason. I ended up using Cool Edit on that machine (thank god).
 
Have you tried the "reset all devices" function in Samplitude?
