uh...

Jethro Tull Flute Mic--what is it, where is it placed?

Probably many positions--I specifically want to know where it is on "Locomotive Breath." He's got that "ugh!" when he draws in a breath on one of the flute solos, and I want to use that idea in a song...

thx!

I alway thought that he uses a transducer which replaces the conventional end-plug in his flute, making it an "electric flute". I agree with you that the flute in "LOcomotive Breath" sounds very closely miced, and knowing how Ian Anderson leaps and jumps around whilst playing, I think conventional micing would be out of the question.
