Hello!

I normally have problems detecting sounds and synths on electronic music, and, if we are talking about Jean Michel Jarre, it's more complex, due to his huge amount of sounds in his productions.

So... I would really like to know which type of synths and sounds he used recording Chronologie 4:

May you help me to find the sounds, samples...? Thanks!

The instruments used for Chronologie 4 are Roland TR909, Roland JD800 (beginning glissando, theme and other sounds in the background), Korg 01w (choir and other probably), Eminent 310U for strings ensemble. For on there is also the ARP2600 and of course the VCS3

The JD800 is very present on Chronology 4 and the whole album.

Moreover, JMJ used no less than 4 on stage during his promotional tour and the Hong Kong live of 1994.

Francis Rimbert had shared the sound bank he had made on the JD800. We find there the famous organ sound used for the Chonologie theme part 2 and part 4, the intro sound of the album ...
