Hi all. I've been trying to use the Antress Modern Compressor, but it just crashes Cubase (v6.06, 64 bit, PC). I figured it's because it's a 32 bit plugin and Cubase's bridge is a bit crap, so I installed the demo version of JBridge to give that a try. I created the 64 bit versions of the Antress Modern plugins and put them in my shared plugins folder.

On doing so, Cubase would no longer open, getting stuck at the plugin scanning point. Similarly, if I put them in a separate folder, then scan this folder in Cubase, it crashes.

Anyone had the same problem or have any suggestions?

Any reason why you insist on Antress? Although their latest offering are not bad at all, quite good actually, considering they are/were free, there are many many other plugins that can work as well as Antress..

Antress modern plugins works just fine for me with JBridge.

Make sure once you have made the .64 version that the plugin stays where you put it in the first place. If it looks for it and can't find it, cubase will crash.

Cheers :)

Thanks for the tip - I think I moved it once I'd created the .64 versions - I'll give it a try later.

Ok, I tried that - same result. I figured it might be because the plugins don't work on win 7 (as per the JBridge FAQ), but I see you're on win 7, Mo.

I guess I want to use the modern plugins as everyone says how good they are for the price and so to give me more options when compressing, etc. if anyone can point me to a similar package, I'd be happy to give them a whirl.

Let me clarify what I meant. I get the feeling I didn't quite explain well enough.

What I meant was once you have installed the 32-bit versions into Program Filesx86 -> Steinberg -> VSTPLugins you should then use JBridge to make the .64 versions of the plugins and place them in Program Files -> Steinberg -> VSTPlugins. Once that is done, DO NOT MOVE THE x86 (32-bit) versions. JBridge still uses the 32-bit location to wrap the plugin for 64-bit.

If it doesn't work after that, then your system has bugs and I have no solution.

Hope that helps.

Cheers :)
