Hey, rajesh! Welcome to the site.
First I would try this site (from one of the contributors of THIS site)
Acoustic Treatment and Design for Recording Studios and Listening Rooms
When you ask, about hardware/software it's a bit open ended. We'd need some kind of budget. Remember, you're probably going to spend a couple hundred on room treatment if you want it decent and probably a lot more if you want it right.
Glad to see someone who's intelligent enough to realize that room acoustics are first priority.
Anyway, what you need as a minimum is:
A microphone (usually a LDC to start)
An audio interface (compute the number of in/outs you'll need, whether you want midi, etc)
A DAW (digital audio workstation) Many to choose from. Most around here recommend Reaper or Cubase. Some Sonar and very few (like me) like Reason.
Past that, depending on the genre, how pro you want it, etc. you can add
More mics (the more the merrier)
Midi controller, control surface, external mixer
Outboard and internal instruments and effects.
Whatever else you need.
Again, welcome, and Happy Recording
