Yesterday, I installed and upgraded the J-Edit software (and new firmware.) I ran a cable from the Left Output to an amp, and I just left the spdif cable hooked up to my soundcard (though I wasnt using it.) Every thing seemed fine, except for a buzzzzzzzzzzing coming through the amp. I found that the buzzing went away when I unplugged the midi cables. A strange thing though, the buzzing got louder when I unplugged the spdif. Anyway, I would like to be able to use the midi so I can have better control over tweaking presets, but the buzz ruins it. Anyone know how to get rid of the buzzing without loosing the midi?

I had the same problem, except the buzz went away when I removed the spdif. Nonetheless, its a groundloop. I tried to plug everything in at the same source (dragging my amp across the room) but that didn't do the trick. I broke down and bought an ebtech hum elimiator. It worked.

FYI, you can combine the analog signal out of the J-station with a Y cord. This way when you record through the spdif in stereo, you'll be able to monitor the the total sound...but in mono.

Also, FYI, the while the ebtech worked, I still need to unplug the spdif when doing vocals or using a mic....my mic pres definately pick up a ground loop hum when cranked.
